Installation Guide
1. INTRODUCTION

This guide provides detailed instructions for the installation and configuration of the Culqi Payment Gateway application for BigCommerce stores. This integration enables Peruvian merchants to accept credit and debit card payments through the Culqi payment gateway.

1.1 About Culqi

Culqi is a leading payment gateway in Peru that allows businesses to process transactions securely and efficiently. It offers multiple payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, and other alternative payment methods.

2. PREREQUISITES

Before starting the installation process, please ensure that you meet the following requirements:

2.1 BigCommerce Account
  • Active BigCommerce store with Standard, Plus, Pro, or Enterprise plan
  • Administrator access to the BigCommerce store
2.2 Culqi Account
  • Active Culqi account (https://culqipanel.culqi.com/)
  • Business verification completed in Culqi
  • PUBLICKEY (Public Key) from Culqi
  • SECRETKEY (Secret Key) from Culqi
2.3 Required Information
  • Company RUC
  • Bank account details for fund settlements
  • Active email address for notifications
3. INSTALLATION PROCESS

Follow these steps to install the Culqi Payment Gateway application in your BigCommerce store:

Step 1: Access the BigCommerce Marketplace
  • Log in to your BigCommerce store admin panel
  • From the left-hand menu, navigate to Apps > Marketplace
  • In the search bar, type “Culqi” and press Enter
Step 2: Install the Application
  • Click on the “Culqi Payment Gateway” application
  • Review the app information, features, and requirements
  • Click the “Install” or “Get This App” button
  • When prompted, click “Confirm” to authorize the required permissions
Step 3: Grant Permissions

The application will request the following permissions:

  • Read and modify payment methods
  • Read order information
  • Create and update transactions
  • Access store information

Important: All requested permissions must be granted for the application to function properly.

4. CREDENTIAL CONFIGURATION

Once the application is installed, you must configure your Culqi credentials:

4.1 Obtain Culqi Credentials
  • Log in to your Culqi account at https://culqipanel.culqi.com/
  • From the side menu, go to Development > API Keys
  • You will find two types of keys:
    • Test Keys: Used for testing without processing real payments
    • Live Keys: Used for processing real payments
  • Copy the following credentials:

PUBLICKEYPublic key – used on the store frontend
SECRETKEYSecret key – used on the backend to process payments

Security Warning: Never share your SECRETKEY publicly. Keep it secure and confidential at all times.

4.2 Enter Credentials in BigCommerce
  • In your BigCommerce admin panel, go to Apps > My Apps
  • Locate “Culqi Payment Gateway”
  • Complete the following fields:
    • Public Key: Paste your Culqi PUBLICKEY
    • Secret Key: Paste your Culqi SECRETKEY
  • Click “Save” to store the configuration
